The Aerostructures team is composed of different sub teams responsible for the structural design, testing and aerodynamic evaluation of the rocket air frame. Along with the design and performance characterization of the engine.
The goals of the design process are:
1. To create a structural design which can endure the loads placed upon it during flight without failure.
2. Accurately simulate the flight dynamics of the rocket and ensure that it remains stable during ascent.
3. To design the engine to meet the power and thrust requirements of the flight while also verifying them with static tests.
Manufacturing sub team:
The Manufacturing Team is responsible for the research and design of testing apparatuses for various critical systems of the rocket as well as researching and documenting manufacturing and assembly techniques to streamline the fabrication of the final flight hardware.
